Our Environmental Promise
Our ingredient philosophy page covers what’s in the formula and why. This page covers the other half: packaging, where things are made, and how long they last.
Packaging: no plastic, anywhere in the range
Deodorants come in a cardboard tube — push up, use, then recycle the tube with your paper and card. Soap comes in a cardboard carton, no shrink wrap or plastic window. Beard oil and shaving serum are glass bottles with a bamboo cap and a small rubber dropper bulb — different materials because they’re liquids, but still no plastic.
There’s no catch here: nothing is plastic-lined or plastic-coated to get around the claim. Cardboard, glass, bamboo, rubber — no plastic, anywhere in the range.
Made in the UK, in small batches
Every soap bar and deodorant stick is made in the UK by our manufacturing partners — not imported, not white-labelled from an overseas factory. They work to strict batch numbering, so we can trace exactly what’s gone into everything we sell.
It’s concentrated, so it lasts
A 100g deodorant stick lasts roughly 2–3 months of daily use. A full-size 160g soap bar lasts 4–6 weeks. That’s not a green slogan — it’s fewer repeat purchases and less packaging overall, because the product doesn’t need replacing every fortnight.
Questions people actually ask us
Is the packaging really plastic-free, or just “mostly”?
Fully plastic-free, across every product. Cardboard for deodorant and soap, glass, bamboo and rubber for beard oil and shaving serum, no aerosols anywhere.
Is it made in the UK?
Yes — made in the UK by our manufacturing partners, not imported or white-labelled. They work to strict batch numbering, so we can trace exactly what’s gone into any product we sell.
Is there a plastic-free, aluminium-free option for boys or teenagers?
Yes. Our Teen Spirit range is a matched soap-and-deodorant kit built for boys around 10–16, for the change in body odour that comes with puberty — not a scaled-down adult product. It’s UK-made, aluminium-free and plastic-free like the rest of the range, with scents (mint, citrus, tea tree) chosen to not read as feminine or aimed at adults.
How does this compare to brands like Wild or Fussy?
Both market themselves as natural, low-plastic alternatives — worth checking the detail rather than the headline claim. Fussy’s deodorant refills are 40g and come in a plastic case; by their own FAQ, the scent is a mix of synthetic and natural fragrance oils, and the ingredients aren’t certified organic or 100% natural. Wild’s case is aluminium with plastic fittings, and recycling it means posting it back through Wild’s own TerraCycle scheme rather than your council’s kerbside collection. Whether a plastic case gets recycled at all through your local council isn’t guaranteed either way — the British Plastics Federation puts actual UK plastic packaging recycling at 49%, against 94% of adults who say they recycle plastic most of the time. Our deodorant stick is 100g — more than double a Fussy refill — made in the UK, plastic-free packaging throughout, and the same ingredient standard whether it’s for a man, a woman or a 12-year-old boy.
What’s not in the formula?
No aluminium compounds, parabens, phthalates, SLS/SLES, synthetic fragrance, artificial colours, formaldehyde, toluene or palm oil. These are our own checks on our own formulas, not third-party certifications. Full reasoning and the complete ingredient list (INCI) are on the ingredient philosophy page and on each product page.
