Lime leads — sharp and properly fresh, the good kind. Spearmint underneath, cooler and more interesting than it sounds. Tea tree does the antibacterial work and manages to smell clean rather than clinical, which is no small achievement.

Fresh without being embarrassing to pull out of the school bag. Which at 13 is pretty much the main criteria.
Somewhere between ages 7 and 11, the daily wash becomes optional. Nobody really pushes back. There are more important things.

Then puberty arrives. Overnight, it stops being optional.

Teen Spirit was made for exactly that moment — and for the mums who spotted it first.
What it does
Body odour isn't sweat itself. It's skin bacteria breaking down what puberty's new sweat glands produce, mostly under the arms. That's why washing properly matters as much as the deodorant.

Teen Spirit neutralises odour without blocking sweat glands. Magnesium hydroxide and bicarbonate of soda do the work. Arrowroot powder manages moisture. Coconut oil and cocoa butter keep it comfortable to apply.

No aluminium. No synthetic fragrance. 100g lasts roughly 2–3 months with daily use.
Switching from conventional deodorant
If he's switching from conventional antiperspirant, give it a week or two. His body needs to recalibrate — sweat glands get confused when you remove the aluminium.

He might feel slightly sweatier at first. This is normal. It passes. Most people find they sweat less and smell better once they're through it. Worth knowing before he declares it broken and goes back to the aerosol.
For the grown-up buying this
The deodorant is usually the harder sell. He doesn't think he needs it yet — even when you know otherwise.

Teen Spirit deodorant is designed so he'll choose to use it rather than be told to. It smells good enough that it feels like something he's doing for himself. The packaging helps — it doesn't look medical, smell like a pharmacy, or suggest it was bought without consulting him.

Apply a small amount to clean, dry skin. Two or three swipes is plenty. It's a deodorant, not a body spray.

The product is effective at controlling odor, but the roll is a bit difficult to use; because it is surrounded by a paper surface, sliding it up and down is quite challenging.

Exactly what I needed for my tween boy

Exactly what I needed for my teen boy starting high school. The spearmint, tea tree and citrus are perfect blends for making him smell fresh, and the soap bar is really big. The full kit is a great introduction to natural soaps and deodorants, instead of having to rely on chemical filled products. Having three boys, I am glad there is a brand catering to them with the correct positive message as their products are biodegradable, can easily be recycled, and best of all my family is not washing in dodgy chemicals. It also made my boy feel a little more mature with the products designed just for him.
