Teen Spirit was designed so he'll choose to use it rather than be told to. The packaging looks like trouble - that's entirely deliberate. Bright green, slightly anarchic, the kind of thing a 12-year-old would pick up himself rather than something that was bought for him without asking. If he thinks it was his idea, he'll use it.
The ingredients are completely natural. No aluminium, no synthetic fragrance, nothing that shouldn't be there. Same standards as the rest of the Smelly range - just in considerably more rebellious packaging.
Worth knowing if "soap" makes you think of the drying stuff from years back: that reputation comes from commercial soap manufacturing, which strips the glycerin out to sell separately, leaving a genuinely harsh bar behind. Shower gel dodges the issue by mostly not being soap at all - it's a detergent base, the same family of ingredient as washing-up liquid, with foam and fragrance doing the work of feeling premium. Cold-pressed soap keeps its glycerin in and is made slowly, in small batches, the way soap was made before either shortcut existed.
Once it's in the bathroom, you might find yourself reaching for it too. We won't tell anyone.

The product is effective at controlling odor, but the roll is a bit difficult to use; because it is surrounded by a paper surface, sliding it up and down is quite challenging.

Exactly what I needed for my teen boy starting high school. The spearmint, tea tree and citrus are perfect blends for making him smell fresh, and the soap bar is really big. The full kit is a great introduction to natural soaps and deodorants, instead of having to rely on chemical filled products. Having three boys, I am glad there is a brand catering to them with the correct positive message as their products are biodegradable, can easily be recycled, and best of all my family is not washing in dodgy chemicals.
