Lemongrass leads — sharp, citrus-bright, awake before you are. Rosemary is herbal underneath, clean rather than culinary. Clary sage holds the whole thing together so it doesn't tip into something you'd find bolted to the wall of a service station.

Together they smell like a day that's started on purpose. Not synthetic freshness. Actual freshness.

There's a specific kind of morning. The alarm's somewhere between three and five. A flight to catch, a full day of meetings at the other end, back the same night. No room to shamble — you need to be sharp before your body has agreed to be awake.

The pleasant version of this involves a terrace, blue sky, an espresso and Tuscany. Early Doors is for when you need lemongrass and rosemary at Departures instead.

What it does

Olive oil, coconut oil and shea butter do the work. It cleans properly without stripping your skin. The lather is decent — which matters more than most shower gel labels will ever acknowledge.

160g bar. Lasts 4–6 weeks with daily use.

How to use

Work up a lather with warm water. Rinse thoroughly. Between uses, keep it on a draining soap dish — it'll last considerably longer than if it sits in a puddle.
